Mr. Andy is a persistent worker who prefers to do his tasks one by one until it is completely done. A hard worker, he will pour out his energy and concentration to be able to complete his tasks satisfactorily. He claims himself as a fast worker who does not like postponing work assignments. Mr. Andy is already happy in the current position. He tries his best to work according to company’s rules and procedures.

Mr. Andy is a practical worker who mostly uses his past experience in handling his tasks. He considers himself as fast in anticipating daily work problems, which mostly related to hotel facility. He mentions the time when a Japanese guest wants to have another room to take a bath because the water is brown. He apologized then instructed the GRO to move the guest so that he will not complain. Mr. Andy is concerned about his work details and people may see him as too fussy when it comes to details. He says that he does not mind personally handling detailed work himself to ensure its accuracy and completeness. He is flexible and is likely to tolerate lack of order when managing his tasks and activities. He will set up his schedule but will be able to allow any changes if the situation calls for. Mr. Diego appears to have a clear understanding of his position and the responsibilities that is associated with it. He is hard working and yearns to improve himself further. He is considered a “self-starter” and takes the initiative to do a task without needing to be told or learn something new if the hotel administration is unable to provide the training for it. He displays flexibility in his job and has a high regard for details thereby making him an effective planner.

As the new Front Office Manager in-charge, Mr. Diego has an overabundance of new ideas to better the operations of the Front Office. Among his various plans for the Front Office is the introduction of the multi-tasking system, which according to him will produce well-rounded employees. Mr. Henry is a hard worker. He narrates that he had to start from the bottom of the organization ( a telemarketer) and had to strive to reach his current position. He has the ability to finish a task and exerts a lot of effort to meet targets and other quota sales for the hotel. Despite the pressures and stress that is associated with his job, he enjoys doing his work and does not hesitate to go beyond his duties and responsibilities as the Sales Executive. He displays flexibility at work and is highly pragmatic. Moreover, he prefers to see the “bigger picture” of a situation.

Mr. Henry displays confidence when answering questions and expressing ideas. He appears to be knowledgeable of his job and the responsibilities that go along with it. However, there is a still a need for him to improve on the theoretical aspect of the field that he has ventured in. He desires feedback from his superiors to determine areas for self-improvement and acquire new ideas/ suggestions to better the business of the hotel. He also likes to be acknowledged for his efforts and achievements. His creative abilities are yet to be realized. Continue reading
