Job as A Electrical Supervisor

Mr. Terry is the type of worker who is adept to perform “multi-tasking”. He is able to work on several things simultaneously and focus on the more important details of a situation or dilemma. He is aware of the importance of his job, which is why he stays after work to finish a task if necessary. He trains his subordinates on various tasks, but tells them to consult him if a problem is too complex for them to handle. Motivation at Work

Mr. Dick regards his job and position as something very important. He is currently happy and contented in his current role as Assistant C&C Administration Manager. He is focused in handling his tasks and is willing to serve his customers at his best by using his interpersonal skills.

When asked about his daily activities, he claims that most of his time is spent to meet customers. He informs them about technical specifications, i.e. hotel facilities, size of stage, tables, and other equipment and gives necessary suggestions based on their needs. He enjoys meeting customers and feels a sense of appreciation when people say “thank you” to him for the service he had provided. Continue reading

High Loyalty and Commitment to the Job

Mr. Dansen first joined Hotel Sun Jaya in 1991 as cook helper and, eventually, one of the cooks in Bengawan Solo Kitchen. He held this position for almost five years before becoming the Chef de pâté. In 2001, he was appointed to his current position as the Cook Supervisor, specializing on buffet cooking. His knack for cooking and the knowledge he has on this field has allowed him to enjoy his work to a great level.

He is happy with his current condition and is able to find ways to make his job more interesting, hence exciting and fun. He has acquired much recognition in his field such as placing number two among all the chefs in the hotel in 1997, landing the 2nd place in the Tumpeng competition in PRJ in 2001, winning the Tumpeng competition of DKI in 2002, and was given the Best Employee of the Month award in 1997. Mr. Gery has been with Sun Hotel for almost 20 years now and admires what he calls the “Sun Corporate Culture”, which is evidently seen in the way people help each other in order to reach a common goal. He mentioned that it was the strong sense of belonging in Sun Hotel that motivates people to cooperate and work together and which makes him enjoy his work.

While holding the position as Assistant Chief Accountant, Mr. Gery is also the Chairman of the Union here in Sun Hotel. He has proven his leadership skills by being able to make quick decisions as head of the Union and at times trusted to take charge when his superiors are absent. His critical position as someone playing dual role as Assistant Chief Accountant and as Labor Union Head in Sun as a whole makes him someone who acts as a very useful middleman. This gives him the ability to analyze both sides’ interest before making a decision, hence, achieving the meeting of minds between the two sides producing a win-win situation. Continue reading
